Week of January 11

 Happy New Year! I hope you all had a nice Christmas. I enjoyed time with my family as well as the time off from school. For you students who are virtual - this was supposed to be my post for last week but I guess I forgot to publish it. Oops! I hope you enjoyed your week off from music class. 🙂

This week I'd like you to watch this year's Christmas Program. Pick at least one song to play or move along with the students. This is your only assignment this week. Below you will find a list of the grades and songs as well as what the activity is. Obviously, the songs featuring Boomwhackers cannot be played at home since you do not any Boomwhackers at home.

Week of December 14 Assignment

Week of December 7 Assignment #1

 PreK-2nd Grade - Here is a video I recorded a couple weeks ago using rhythm sticks. Go find something you can use as sticks (pencils work just fine!) and play along with me to "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer." Click HERE when you are done.

3rd-7th Grade - Go find yourself a bucket (or a plastic bowl) and something you can use as sticks (pencils work) and play along with "Jingle Jam." Click HERE when you are done.

Week of November 30 Assignment #2

 4K-2nd Grade - See if you can follow along with the video and learn the movements for "I Want to Be an Elf." Click HERE when you are done watching and moving along to the video.

3rd-7th Grade - Go grab 2 plastic cups from your kitchen and join me as I play cups to the song "Sleigh Ride." Click HERE when you are done watching the video.

Week of Nov 30 Assignment #1

 Hi everyone! I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving! I'm sorry I'm late getting this assignment out to you. I will post assignment #2 tomorrow (Thursday) so check back then.

4K-2nd grade - I have 2 videos for you today. You can play bells if you have some to the first video "Jingle Jingle Little Bell." Then, get up and move to the second video. Click HERE when you are done watching both videos.

3rd-7th Grade - Today I have 2 videos for you. They are both "Jingle Bell Rock." The first is performed on an accordion and the second is a video of me teaching you to play some patterns on a bucket. You'll need a bucket/ice cream pail/bowl and 2 sticks/spoons/pencils for the second video. Click HERE when you are done watching both videos.
